In the summer of 2005, Duncaster will open its new state-of-the-art Fitness & Wellness Center, which promotes a lifetime commitment to wellbeing and personal achievement. Designed specifically for an active adult population, The Center will feature 75-foot warm-water swimming pool plus a specialized therapeutic aquatic therapy pool. Both pools will be easily accessible for seniors and people with disabilities. Men and women changing rooms and lockers are designed to provide an optimum experience expected at a top of the line facility.
The Center will offer a strength training area with Keiser equipment. Under the guidance of an athletic trainer, individuals can exercise all of the muscle groups in order to stay at peak fitness. The Center will include a new rehabilitation department managed by Eastern Rehab Network (ERN); a multi-purpose room for group activities, meetings and educational programs; and a new café, which provides a welcoming environment.
