Deadline Approaching to Nominate Extraordinary Connecticut Residents For 60 Over 60 Awards

BLOOMFIELD, CT, Jan. 29, 2018 – The deadline is approaching for those who want to honor extraordinary individuals who are age 60 or better. Nominations for the 2018 Class of 60 Over 60 have been coming in from throughout the state since the beginning of January when the voting opened. They must be in by February 13, 2018 at midnight to be considered.

The members of the 2018 class will be chosen by three of last year’s winners: Molly Gavin, President of Connecticut Community Care, Inc.; Kathleen Miller Murphy, Board Member, Simsbury Library and Terry Borjeson, State of Connecticut, Pardons and Paroles Board Member.

Those wishing to nominate someone (or themselves) may go to the Duncaster website ( to connect to the nomination form. To nominate by email contact Erica West ( for a nomination form. The deadline for nominations is February 13, 2018 at midnight.

Winners will be notified by the end of March. They will be featured in a special statewide newspaper supplement; showcased on the Duncaster site and honored at a celebration in May.

Anyone may nominate someone who is age 60 or better by February 13. Nominees must live in the state of Connecticut at least five months a year. Nominators need not be from Connecticut. Self-nominations and multiple nominations are encouraged.
