Duncaster CCRC - Wednesday, March 01, 2017

BLOOMFIELD, CT, Mar. 2, 2017 – The works of local artist Estelle Laschever will be on display at the Duncaster Art Gallery throughout the month of April. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, April 2 at 4 p.m. The exhibit, called “Music Transparencies” will be at the Duncaster Art Gallery on 40 Loeffler Road until Friday, April 28. The viewing hours for the exhibit are weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lascherver ArtLaschever’s pieces of work include: monotypes, multimedia paintings, assemblages and interacting sounds suggested by music conveyed to the viewers. She completes these works through the use of color, texture, line, rhythm and pattern. Her work is displayed regularly in her studio located at 56 Arbor Street in Hartford.

Laschever has been the recipient of 31 awards. Most recently, she was awarded the Graphic Award from the Connecticut Academy of Fine Art. She is a member of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Art, the Connecticut Watercolor Society, the Monotype Guild of New England and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking.

Attendance for the opening reception on April 2 is free and open to the public; however, advance registration is required.
