BLOOMFIELD, CT, Apr. 10, 2017 – “Emerging Student Artists of the Farmington Valley” will feature the works of children from kindergarten through high school at the Duncaster Art Gallery.Pieces from students in the Farmington Valley schools will be on display throughout the month May.

Farmington Valley Student ArtThe young artists, their parents and teachers will be honored at an opening reception for the exhibit on Sunday, May 7 at 4 p.m. The Duncaster Art Gallery is open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and this exhibit will be available until June 1.The Gallery is located on the Duncaster campus at 40 Loeffler Road in Bloomfield.

The show is the brainchild of Inez Failace, an “Enrichment Teacher” for the Avon public school system and an artist in her own right.“By focusing on these young talented artists we hope to raise community awareness of the importance of a sophisticated art curriculum and the dedicated art teachers who provide the motivation and the means to guide students through the creative process,” she says.

Attendance for the opening reception on May 7 is free and open to the public; however, advance registration is required. Visitors are welcome to view the exhibit weekdays in May from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
