World Affairs to Feature Co-Founder of Non-Profit that Brings Music to Cambodia

BLOOMFIELD, CT, Apr. 6, 2017 – The co-founder of the Khmer Magic Music Bus, a non-profit that brings music to the Cambodian countryside, will speak at the April 11 meeting of Duncaster’s World Affairs Group. Stephen Riege will discuss the history of Cambodia as well as his experiences visiting and working there. The meeting will be held at Duncaster from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This meeting is free to the public with pre-registration.

The West Hartford resident co-founded The Khmer Magic Music Bus in 2013, with the mission of “Restoring Cambodia's rich musical heritage one village at a time.” Before that, he was the Director of Global Studies at Hartford’s Watkinson School.

He has traveled in China, West Africa, South and Central America as well as Cambodia. He also lived and worked in Ecuador with his family

The discussion is part of Duncaster’s World Affairs Series, which is presented to the community by the residents of Duncaster on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month. Participants include local citizens and Duncaster residents.
